Mr Eric Jones had been a PoW at Thorn PoW Camp. He was one of a small number of surviving 70th Brigade Veterans when the work began and, in addition to being willing to discuss his experiences in telephone interviews, was always interested in the progress of the research into the Brigade - telephoning the author for an update every two or three months - until his death on 28th February 2015 at the age of 95. Eric had appeared in illustrations in "The Durham Bugle".

"Faithful".
