As the Brigade was in France, and indeed in action, at the time of his enlistment it is likely that this man spent his first few weeks with the Home Details of the Brigade and joined the Brigade at Launceston on their return via Dunkirk.

The Royal Pioneer Corps records suggest that this man may have been transferred back to the DLI on 4/5/1942, but this is not reflected in the DLI Enlistment Books. The entry may refer to his arrival at No 6 Centre?
