Died/Killed in action DIED 30/9/1943 - cause of death unknown. Interred by Reverend Davidson, Chaplain to the Forces, in Grave 169, Kanchanaburi Paper Mill. Re-interred 29/1/1946 in Grave 2.G.17. Kanchanaburi War Cemetery. Headstone inscription reads:- "AT THE GOING DOWN OF THE SUN AND IN THE MORNING, WE WILL REMEMBER HIM".
Home address Son of John and Mary Jane Richardson of Alnwick, Northumberland. At the time of the 1939 General Register Alexander was single, had already joined the Royal Northumberland Fusiliers, and was living with his parents at 3, Summit Cottages. Mother lived at Summit Cottages, Alnwick Moor.
