The following photographs of the village and its church, together with those of the Swan Hotel, which features as a Unit HQ in the War Diary, were taken during the research trip and hopefully convey an image of the place. Photographs of information concerning St Felix School, also used as an HQ location, can be found further down the page.

St Felix School features as a Battalion HQ and the following images were photographed from a history of the school, concentrating on the wartime period. As will be noted, the school buildings played a considerable role in not only hosting 70th Brigade Units, but also in D-Day planning. It is hoped that copyright has not been breached but, should there be any concerns, the Lead Researcher should be contacted on 70brigade@newmp.org.uk when any issues will immediately be addressed.
