1 December 1942 Stourbridge.

All Unit personnel employed on Fieldworks training; including Tubular Scaffolding, Trestles, Improvised Bridging, Somerfield Track, Road making and Repair, Derricks, Gyns and Shears, Minelaying etc. This training was continued throughout the month.

2 December 1942

Sub-Sections attended for training at 49 Division Street Fighting School.

12 December 1942

Demonstration in Demolitions and Booby Traps given to members of Home Guard.

14 December 1942

Officers and NCOs attended Cloth Model Exercise in which all Divisional Royal Engineer Units took part.

29 December 1942

No. 3 Platoon under Lt D Oglesby RE moved on detachment to Llansawel, Cardiganshire, to begin work on installations for Mountain Training Camps.

Throughout the month, Technical training carried out two evenings per week by Officers and NCOs with particular reference to Mountain Warfare.

One Officer and two NCOs attended courses in Mountain and Snow Warfare. Other Courses taken included Mines and Demolitions (one Officer) Combined Operations (one NCO) Battle Course (one NCO).
