1 March 1942 Long Burton.

Unit received orders to move to Blaenau Festiniog, North Wales.

2 March 1942

Advance Party despatched to new station.

3 March 1942

Train Party despatched.

4 March 1942

Remainder of Unit moved by road convoy.

5 March 1942 Blaenau Festiniog.

Company assembled complete at Blaenau Festiniog in private billets.

6 March 1942

Unit received instructions to begin work on Summer Camps for 49 Division in preparation for training in Mountain Warfare.

7 March 1942

Surveyors and draughtsmen employed on preliminary work of siting and drawing up lists of stores, etc required for new camps. Major J Colborne RE appointed Acting Commandant Royal Engineers of Field Companies engaged on this work.

13 March 1942

Unit began work on various Camp sites, including installations, water supply etc.

14 March 1942

This work was continued throughout the month in spite of bad weather, and various schemes were complete by the scheduled time. This was only achieved by working early and late and on Saturday afternoons and Sundays.

31 March 1942
