Remains cremated, according to Battalion records, and interred on 11/3/1946 in the British wall niche in Yokohama Mausoleum, details being included on the urn. Ashes were re-interred in Grave Q.B.1. British Section, Yokohama War Cemetery. Headstone inscription reads - "NOT JUST TODAY BUT EVERY DAY IN SILENCE I'LL REMEMBER". Probate granted 6/6/1946 at Newcastle upon Tyne to Margaret Read Richardson, wife of Andrew Richardson.
