One 3.7” gun moved into position at HVAMMSHOLAR by road from Reykjavik.

One 3.7” gun moved into position at HVAMMSHOLAR by road from Reykjavik.

10 May 1941

“A” and “B” Troops 386/143 Field Regiment changed positions: command changed 18:00 hours.

11 May 1941

2 guns sailed per S.S. ZAANSTROOM for Akranes and moved by road to HRAFNEYRI.

One 40mm Bofors moved fro HVITANES to PYRILSNES, one 40mm Bofors moved from HVAMMSVIK to PYRILSNES.

14 May 1941

Anti-aircraft Light Machine Gun practice for all Royal Artillery units in Western and South-Western Sectors at Brautarholt.

First leave party disembarked. Second leave party embarked.

17 May 1941

2 guns HRAFNEYRI in action 16:30 hours.

18 May 1941

Force Tactical School Course No. 7 commenced. One Officer 143 Field Regiment and 3 Officers 12 Anti-aircraft Regiment attended.

23 May 1941

C.R.A. and B.M.R.A. left by road to visit 69 Field Regiment at AKUREYRI and detachments at SEYDISFJORDUR and REYDARFJORDUR. By sea to Borganes thence by road to AKUREYRI.

Road has been open for a week.

Two guns (3.7”) at HVAMMSVIK fired to test mountings.

Section of “F” Troop 388 Field Battery joined other Section at REYKERSCOLI from Blonduos.

24 May 1941

Detachment 351 Troop 52 Light Anti-aircraft Battery fired practice at Kaldadarnes.

26 May 1941

69 and 143 Field Regiments re-organised as 3-Battery Regiments. New Batteries numbered 448 and 507 respectively.

31 May 1941

Detachment 351 Troop 52 Light Anti-aircraft Battery fired 96 rounds practice at Kaldadarnes.

C.R.A. left AKUREYRI by sea to visit detachments 273 and 274 Field Battery (now 448 Field Battery) at SEYDISFJORDUR and REYDARFJORDUR, road not yet open.
