1 April 1943 – Pembrey.

Instructions re. transfer of vehicles received.

2 April 1943 – Pembrey.

Non-Medical Officers 2/Lts Brighton and Capon arrive.

3 April 1943 – Pembrey.

Rugby semi-final (Divisional Tournament) held at Chepstow. Unit vs 6 DWR. Result 6 DWR 17 Unit 3.

4 April 1943 – Pembrey.

Mine lifting demonstration near Penybont.

Conference with ADMS at Foxley after demonstration.

5 April 1943 – Pembrey.

Rehearsal for visit of Army Commander.

Notice received for collection of vehicles at Vehicle Replacement Depot. Four cars – two seater and two ambulances transferred to C.R.A.S.C. and 160 Field Ambulance.

6 April 1943 – Pembrey.

Transport Officer takes party to Wellington to collect vehicles.

Army Commander’s inspection at Llanelley.

7 April 1943 – Pembrey.

Transport Officer returns with new transport 03:30 hours - 10 ambulances (2 – stretcher), two cars (4 – seater) and eight motorcycles.

12 April 1943 – Pembrey.

Advance Party (Captain Slater and 10 Other Ranks) left for Bothwell.

14 April 1943 – Pembrey.

A Company left for Exercise Bombard.

15 April 1943 – Pembrey.

00:01 hours. Completion of mobilisation.

16 April 1943 – Pembrey.

Main Body left by road for Bothwell. Staging at Wellington, Preston and Carlisle.

17 April 1943 – Pembrey.

Routine.

18 April 1943 – Pembrey.

Routine.

19 April 1943 – Pembrey.

Routine.

20 April 1943 – Pembrey.

Routine.

21 April 1943 – Pembrey.

21:30 hours. Main Body (rail) leaves for Bothwell. A Company returns from Exercise Bombard.

22 April 1943 – Pembrey.

Main Body arrives Bothwell.

Routine. Move into new billets. Cookhouses and sanitation very unsatisfactory.

29 April 1943 – Pembrey.

Unit ordered to return to previous location.

30 April 1943 – Pembrey.

Advance Party leaves for Burry Port.
