Lt Col De Winton returned from leave and resumed command of the Battalion.

14554469 Pte BURNS J. died as a result of a gunshot wound accidentally received.
18th March 1944

The Battalion team came third in the Divisional Cross Country run.
22nd – 24th March 1944
Exercise “STAG” was held. This was an exercise in taking up a defensive position followed by a relief by another Battalion. As far as can be seen no documentation about the exercise has survived in the Battalion War Diary file. Information can,however, be found in the Brigade War Diary.
25th March 1944

The Battalion won the Brigade football competition.
