All troops given excellent Christmas Fare – turkey dinner. C.O. and Officers visited both billets at dinner time and assisted with serving troops.

1942879 married to Enid Brookes at the Parish Church, Kington. Genealogical research identifies the bride as End Gwendoline Alma Brookes and the groom as Tegid A Jones – his name will be included on the personnel list. The bride remarried - William G R Peirce - in 1954 and died in Hereford on 27/6/2009 ).

1946488 married to Billie Buckley at Registrar’s Office, Huddersfield. (The groom was Edward W Deacon – his name will now be included on the personnel list. The couple later possibly emigrated to Australia on 13/7/1948 as their names have been traced on an outward passenger list from Glasgow to Sydney – the Master of the vessel is named as James Cook!)
