1 January 1941 Iceland, Reykjavik.

M.P. engaged on special duties at England and Scotland football match, Reykjavik Stadium. Other normal duties.

7 January 1941

Company Part I Orders Nos. 1 – 8 issued and filed with War Diary as Appendix A (which does not seem to have survived in the original file).

16 January 1941

M.P. engaged on traffic control duties, car parking etc at rehearsal of M.T. Demonstration and Field Firing Exercise for Force Tactical School. Other normal duties.

17 January 1941

C.M.P. Headquarters, Mytchett Camp, Reykjavik visited and inspected by Force A & Q Staff Officers.

29 January 1941

Company Part I Orders Nos. 9 to 20 issued and included in Appendix A.

Normal duties carried out throughout the month. Supervision of loading and unloading supply ships at Reykjavik Docks. Day and night town patrols. Road Patrol in Reykjavik and outlying roads. Road reconnaissance with regard to tactical exercises etc. Special duties with regard to accidents, claims and investigation of complaints against troops. Akureyri and Seydisfjordur detachments carrying out similar duties in their areas.
