Pre-Invasion Training 1943 - 1944
The Unit War Diaries are full of references to the training requirements for assaulting "Fortress Europe" in due course, and support units were added which enhanced the fighting ability of the Brigade, especially in the fields of Artillery support. War Diaries for those new Units are included within the Website and much more information is needed to identify those men who served in those units.
As in the case of other geographical areas hyperlinks have been put in place to information about the individual locations and this will be expnaded as further data becomes available or is collected. The links are in place from the War Diary pages to try and maintain a sequential approach in common with other periods.
