Unit Enlisted in the Royal Engineers, Transferred to The Durham Light Infantry (date not yet known). Posted to the 10th Battalion DLI. Served Normandy. Transferred to the Green Howards - date not yet confirmed but probably on the disbanding of the Battalion. Green Howards Enlistment Book for this period missing. According to his medal card he subsequently transferred to the Gloucestershire Regiment.
